Whether we..re lusting after Katie, listening to Sean bringing up obscure pop culture references, or listening to me try to squeeze jokes in between all of this. There..s someone or something to laugh about every Sunday. ..It..s fun to be down with the clowns...-ICP
Iggy Bio
I learned to talk later than the other kids, and I haven..t shut up since then. It was never easy for me I was born a white, middle class Jewish male in New York. How I survived the mean streets of suburbia I..ll never know. Actually I grew up in Da Bronx surrounded by diversity. When I was younger I discovered the secret of life, making people laugh is the most awesome thing in the world. I hung out with people from different cultures, races and genders. What does that mean? It means that I learned to make fun of everybody. This also earned me the only nickname I ever liked, UH-OH. Because I was a white guy with soul, black on the inside, white on the outside .. the reverse Oreo.
When I was 21, I started to make the long trek to Manhattan for open mike nights. I..ve been booed in some of the nicer comedy clubs, Dangerfield..s, The New York Comedy Club. And then there was that one glorious time when I got a laugh. Some say that guy was choking, but I think I made him laugh so hard.. Ah memories. Then I started performing Improv. I worked with two troupes: The Grown Ups Playground and SCTV. Yes it was that SCTV and no I don..t know Eugene Levy.
Then the depression set in. By that I mean I got married and tried my hand at 9-5. The rest is a 10 year blur, and I didn..t even get the good buzz to go along with the blur.
When the haze cleared, meaning I got divorced and had a beautiful (now 5 year old) little girl. I found my way to the Connecticut School of Broadcasting to finally live my destiny. That..s what we need more of, Jews in show business. Now let..s put on a show.
On a personal note I love the simple things in life: My daughter(Always first and foremost), The Mets (You know I..m a diehard, being a Mets fan in Da Bronx), The Jets, origami bricks, movies, music (all types- Motown .. Hair band Metal .. Old School Rap), dissecting frog spleens, cooking, bowling, shootin.. pool and my family and friends.(Including my crew from Iggy & Sean, because we are friends who have become family, AHHH Someone get me a freakin.. towel to cry into.)
Coming soon Katie & Sean bio's - Once they learn to write.
