Luca Palanca was born and raised in Brooklyn N.Y.
Luca Starred in the off broadway play "Tony and Tina's wedding, Playing Tony he had devolped his Improv comedy skills.
He then began performing in clubs around the country doing Stand- up comedy, He then arrived in Los angeles, California where he took the stand-up world by storm, performing in "The World Famous Comedy Store", The Improv and The Laugh Factory, He then wrote a Short film called " Choose Life" with child hood friend Peter Dobson, Together in the fall of 2000 they started shooting the short film along with director Gregory Alosio, The short film made a huge splash in Sundance 2001.
Luca had also starred in "Zigs" along with Jason Priestley and Richard Portnow, Luca then devolped a knack for writing, He wrote "Made in Brooklyn" which includes "Happy Birthday Joe", " Let it Go", "Wood' and "Lost in Fever" all Featured In the film.
Luca then approached Jon Sheinberg, Malak Akkad and Jack Lippman to finance the featured After they read the stories, They gave Luca the monies to Start production,Luca then put on his producer hat along with friends Jeff Mazzola and Justin Hogan in the fall of 2005 the camera was rolling in the town where he grew up.
Luca called all his buddies to play roles in the movie.Luca then Put on his Director hat and Directed "Let it go" with Jeff Mazzola, Then put on his Actor hat for "Choose Life and "Wood, Luca also finished The movie "Played" with Val Kilmer, Bruno Kirby and Gabriel Byrne.
Luca is currently getting ready to shoot the Feature version of "Choose Life and he is in pre pre poduction of "Ball" a movie he will Co-Direct and Produce!
