Although Brian Bow has been playing guitar for the past twelve years he sees himself as a songwriter at heart. Inspired by various styles from contemporary jazz to funky classic blues, listeners have always perceived Bow's sound as a fresh one. Many producers have found it very difficult to categorize Bow's style just cause it touches upon all kinds of aspects. However, if an individual were to describe it from a musician's perspective one would probably conclude that Bow's signature sound is very melodic. In fact many of his arrangements are structured in an unusual fashion where they are comprised of a series of different parts and altering tempo changes. In some sense a lot of his more complicated material seems to resemble mini musicals where the songs take audiences into noticeably different environments sort of like a journey. Perhaps these ideas are best illustrated through classic tunes like Queen's 'Bohemein Raphosdy' or Radiohead's 'Paranoid Android'. Some of Bow's major influences include: The Beatles, John Mayer, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Radiohead, Jimi Hendrix, Moby, Outcast and Dr. Dre.
