A Recognised Truth is an Alternative Screamo/Post-Hardcore band from Perth, Western Australia.
A.R.T formed in 2005 under the name Axiom, until it was found that an Electronica band existed under the same name.
It was then decided to name the band after the word's meaning, A Recognised Truth.
The name has stuck ever since.
The band is in the process of writting and recording their first EP ("Lost Shadows") and is having a great time doing so.
A.R.T, as they like to be called, is a mix of melodic hardcore guitar harmonies with powerful bass and headbanging drums, not to mention the great message that they want to portray.
All members are Christian, and believe in something more than this world.
The band is hoping to have their new EP ready soon, and a full length album in later years.
